update, whaa??

Greetings, All:

How will you celebrate veteran's day? After the election results, I feel that I have a duty to  show  my appreciation for the war veterans as well as sacrifices. It could be anything from pop culture to the respected reality, maybeI'll just watch flags of our fathers or watch C-SPAN's programs on veterans' conference or the opening of the new marine museum in Virginia. Whateva- but it feels GREAT to be in this country right now.

wowzaa.. only a few people really keep up to date with their xanga.

i guess here's my brief update for my fellow readers (if there are any left!):

i'll be heading to vegas on monday morning. lately, my whole break has been completely chilled with catching up with sleep and cleaning up (spiritually, mentally, physically). so things have been going pretty mellow and a lot of phamily time spent!

the girls that we hosted are leaving. Trinh actually left this morning with her brother and parents. saying goodbyes really puts things in perspective. how common it is to run into really great people and then to say bye to them. it's a beautiful dynamic process we learn and relearn.

i planned out my graduation, and with just two quarters- i could come out of UW majoring in not only conservation biology but a minor in chemistry! it really isnt that intense and being that it's my super senior year, i'm going to be less stress over the grades and focus more on the learning aspect. afterall, these are the classes I CHOSE to be in. its going to be challenging, but it's going to be fun. plus, i totally miss being in those chem labs so i'm looking forward to all my classes.

these are all tentative plans though because i need to talk to both my advisors and really see if this is going to work. because for it to be PERFECTLY fit, the classes that i must take when i study abroard MUST follow under biology electives. the Americas are known for the biodiversity, so there HAS to be plenty of programs to choose from.

so that's my grand plan.

keep in touch ya'lls and i hope you guys have a wonderful break!

what's on the playlist (random songs i clicked on napster, these are catchy tunes man and should be listened to in this order)

  • bad day - daniel powter
  • let me know - yeah yeah yeahs
  • walk away - franz ferdinand
  • just friends - nine black alps
  • topboy - infadels
  • beautiful - damian marley
